After graduating from the National University of Singapore with a BA (hon) in industrial design, Yong Jieyu currently does his masters degree with the Design Academy Eindhoven. "A CD player was disassembled and the components rearranged to suit the layout of a phonograph : speakers are put below the trumpet loudspeaker for amplification, the wooden box is made more spacious then the electrical PCB board needed to achieve bass resonance and the laser pointer is shifted to the top allowing the spin of the CD to be clearly shown". yong jieyu + ama (25/06)
