Robot conductors could take the baton from us
There's more to leading an orchestra than simply beating time, but how long will it be before Honda and co make a robot that can understand music too? Can technology ever replace humans when it comes to making music? The debate - one that has raged on since the first introduction of the gramophone - kicked off once again this Tuesday when Honda's flagship robot Asimo led the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in a performance of the Honda signature tune, Impossible Dream.
